Name: Willow Road
Date: 1938
Architect: Erno Goldfinger
Borough: Camden
Listing: Grade II*
Notes: A terrace of three houses designed by Erno Goldfinger in the mid-1930s, with Goldfinger and his wife Ursula taking the central house, and the other two sold to offset the construction costs. The houses fit into the Georgian atmosphere of the neighbourhood, whilst still remaining true to Goldfingers modernist ethos. They are constructed of red brick around a concrete frame, and each house is centred around a spiral staircase, engineered by Ove Arup and designed to maximise floor space.
