University of East Anglia, Norwich

Denys Lasdun & Partners with Fielden & Mawson

University campus planned from 1962 and not completed until the late 1970s. The master plan and most prominent buildings were designed by Denys Lasdun, with his long teaching block, ziggurat student accommodation flats and bold library the most eye-catching buildings. The local firm, Fielden & Mawson, replaced Lasdun as the site's co-ordinating architect in 1969.
