Name:  Royal College of Physicians
Date: 1964
Architect: Denys Lasdun
Borough: Camden
Listing: Grade I
Notes: One of Denys Lasdun’s favourite and most prestigious buildings, the Royal College of Physicians occupies a prominent plot next to Regents Park. Its bold form manages to find a balance with its John Nash designed neighbours, by keeping the same height and the use of white mosaic tiling. Inside is an array of spaces connected by a collection of elegant staircases. Lasdun added the circular extension on the north side in 1996.
