Name: 10 Palace Gate
Date: 1937
Architect: Wells Coates
Borough: Kensington & Chelsea
Listing: Grade II*
Notes: 10 Palace Gate was designed for developer Randall M. Bell, who had acquired the large red brick house from 1888 on the site and had it demolished. The exterior of the new block is symmetrical with a projecting centre section and a regular pattern of metal framed windows. The building is constructed using a reinforced concrete frame clad with precast concrete panels. Coates devised a  3-2 or Scissor plan for the internal layout, creating a house-like space in a multi dwelling scheme.
