Name:  Maiden Lane Estate
Date: 1979-82
Architect: Benson and Forsyth
Borough: Camden
Listing:
Notes: Camden last great estate, planned from 1973, but not completed until then years later. It is very much in the fashion of Benson and Forsyth's earlier work for Camden (Mansfield Road, Branch Hill), with crisp white, low rise blocks of maisonettes and flats with strong grid like patterns. At the centre of the estate is a community building with prominent staircase towers harking back to 1930s ‘heroic’ modernism.
