Date: 1939
Architect: Middlesex County Council
County: Hertfordshire
Listing:
Notes: A slice of Middlesex Modernism in Hertfordshire, this combined library and clinic was designed by the M.C.C Architects Department, led by W.T. Curtis & H.W. Burchett. Potters Bar was part of Middlesex until 1965 when it was transferred to Hertfordshire. The building follows in the Dudok influenced style of the MCC found elsewhere in the book; brick construction, flat overhanging concrete roof and long thin windows.
