Picture
Name: Hayes Essoldo
Date: 1939
Architect: George Coles
Borough: Hillingdon
Listing: -
Notes: Originally opening in 1939 as the Savoy Cinema, part of the small Glassman chain, the cinema became the Essoldo in 1967. Like all the Savoy cinemas it was designed by George Coles, with an Italian Renaissance styled frontage with three large arched windows above the entrance. Like many other cinemas it later became a bingo hall, which eventually closed in 2023.
