Name: Hampden Hill, Beaconsfield
Date: 1963

Architect: Mary Christian Hamp

County: Buckinghamshire

Listing:

Notes: A collection of intriguing post war houses arranged around a green on a steep slope. The 29 houses were designed by Mary Christian Hamp, daughter of Stanley who designed many houses in the area. The houses are built in brick with steeply pitched, asymmetrical roofs, and tucked into the landscape, turning their back on the street and opening out towards the distant rolling hills. Inside the houses have a split plan, making the most of the spectacular views.
