Picture
Name: Gates, Firestone Factory
Date: 1928
Architect: Wallis, Gilbert & Partners
Borough: Hounslow
Listing: Grade II
Notes: The last remaining part of the Firestone Factory, controversially demolished in 1980.  The factory  consisted of an Art Deco main block fronting the road, with more functional production buildings behind. The design was a forerunner of the Hoover Factory with rows of columns and corner staircase towers.
