Picture
Name: Colliers Wood Station
Year: 1926
Architect: Charles Holden
Borough: Merton
Listing: Grade II
Notes: Another of the Northern Line stations built as part of the extension to Modern in 1936, Colliers Wood sits on the junction of Christchurch Road and the High Street, the Portland stone facade angled to embrace both roads. The building includes a parade of shops along the street, allowing commuters to shop on their way home and also bring some revenue back into the underground’s coffers.
