Name:  9 West Heath Road
Date: 1964

Architect: James Gowan
Borough: Camden
Listing: Grade II
Notes: House designed for furniture manufacturer Chaim S Schreiber by James Gowan. The four storey house has a strong vertical emphasis with bands of dark blue brick and aluminium windows, reaching from floor to ceiling. Gowan also designed the fitted furniture for the house (which was manufactured by Schreiber’s company) and a domed swimming pool, which was added in 1968. Gowan would later design another house for Schreiber, this time in Chester, in 1982.
