Date: 1935
Architect: Connell, Ward and Lucas
Borough: Surrey
Listing:
Notes: The Firs, designed by Basil Ward of the partnership for Edith Cooper as a new wing to her 19th Century house. The new addition was to contain four bedsits allowing Miss Cooper, her sister and two friends to live together. The lower part of the extension is built in brick to match the original house, with the upper floors in reinforced concrete. The concrete was painted white, matching the colour scheme of the older part.
